Session #6: Sympathy For the Devil

This was another episode that primarily focuses on foreshadowing for Spike. It has some good harmonica music, too. I have to say that was my favorite part, the harmonica and the boy's eyes. But I go off-track. The only real important part that this episode plays in the big picture is the ending, so I will discuss that. The rest of the episode, well, is just too good to try to put into words.

The psycho-kid has just aged in about three seconds. He seems relieved, and asks Spike if he knows what it feels like to finally die. Spike says "Yah, I know," and then throws the harmonica up in the air as he says "As if." He then says "Bang" right as the screen turns black and says "See you space cowboy." TALK ABOUT FORESHADOWING! Spike does understand the kid's final words eventually when he has his chance to finally die. At last, he can be at peace, when he once did not realize or understand that point. The "Bang" once you have seen the ending takes on a whole new meaning.
